The Franklin County Office on Aging (FCOA) is excited to announce its upcoming iCare Caregiver Conversation, a special event aimed at supporting caregivers in Franklin County. The event, which will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Venture Suites, will offer caregivers a welcoming space to connect, share experiences and access vital resources.

The Franklin County Office on Aging (FCOA), in partnership with the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center, is excited to announce its inaugural “Block Pawty” as part of their collaborative initiative, Mission Pawsible. This community event will take place on Friday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center.

Under the leadership of the Board of Commissioners Franklin County has received four prestigious awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo) for its innovative programming during their annual conference this past weekend. The first three highlight the effective work being done in local health and human services programing.

The Franklin County Office on Aging has extended its free Home-Delivered Meals program through the end of 2024. With this extension, Franklin County residents aged 60 and older are eligible to receive free home-delivered meals without income verification through Dec. 31, 2024.
