The 4th Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners today appointed Chanda Wingo as the Director of the Franklin County Office on Aging. Wingo, who will report to the Deputy County Administrator for Health and Human Services (HHS) Joy Bivens, will take over the role effective immediately.

The Franklin County Office on Aging, Franklin County Public Health and PrimaryOne Health have announced a partnership to host two upcoming COVID-19 vaccine booster clinics in order to get more older adults boosted in Franklin County. The clinics will focus on those zip codes that have high vulnerability and high case rates, which include zip codes 43211 and 43207.

The Franklin County Office on Aging has extended its free Home-Delivered Meals program through the end of 2023. With this extension, Franklin County residents aged 60 and older are eligible to receive free home-delivered meals without income verification through Dec. 31, 2023.
